Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, what are the 5 combat stances, and how to use them?
Cal Kestis has different fighting styles that you can switch between depending on the situation you find yourself in in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
In Fallen Order, Respawn Entertainment tried to implement stances but ran out of time and could only include the single and double saber. For its sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends studio was able to get rid of that thorn in its side and integrate it as part of the combat system.
Stances are one of the great novelties of Respawn’s action-adventure video game, a feature that players can use to their advantage depending on the type of enemy they face. In an interview with MeriStation, director Stig Asmussen stated that it is possible to complete the game with only one style. These are playable options.
What are the stances and what are they all about?
Stances are different fighting styles that use different weapon configurations to achieve different effects. They are especially useful in one-on-one combat, where it is easier to identify your opponent’s strengths and weaknesses and adjust your style accordingly.
In the most crowded fights, there are usually different archetypes of enemies, but the game allows you to alternate between two stances, so you can change your style as the fight progresses and depending on the type of enemy you face.
Below we list the five stances and tell you what they consist of.
How do I use them?
Meditation Circles are used to save the game, improve skills, equip perks, and use fast travel. They also allow us to select stances, as we cannot equip all five at once. We select two of them and alternate them with the d-pad (right and left). If we want to change them, we have to go back to the meditation circle and select others.
