Starfield has just been released, but it has already been announced a mod that improves its graphics
Starfield HD Reworked Project modifies the textures to give a more rounded finish, as shown in the trailer.
Director Todd Howard has already said it: Starfield will be a modder’s paradise. The new title from Bethesda Game Studios was released on September 6, but the community has already started developing a series of graphical enhancements for the video game. Among those enthusiasts, well-known modder Halk Hogan PL has announced that he is working on an HD texture pack for the title. If you are one of those who follow the mantra “if I don’t see it, I don’t believe it,” there is no better answer than the video below these paragraphs, which offers a comparison between the original game textures and the improved ones.
When will Starfield HD Reworked Project be released? Unfortunately, a release date has not yet been confirmed for this mod. It is clear that Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project 2.0, which is scheduled for October next year, will be released first. Meanwhile, Bethesda has announced that modding tools will be available in 2024:
“Once the game fully supports mods, you’ll be able to do almost anything, just like our previous projects. Mods will be available next year, and we’re going big because we love it,” Howard said in a recent interview with Famitsu.
Is Starfield well optimized for PCs?
Starfield’s PC optimization has been the subject of much discussion, to the point that some have questioned it. In fact, when a Bloomberg reporter asked Howard about the apparent lack of optimization, the creative was blunt: “Um, we did. It is running great. It is a next-gen PC game, we really do push the technology, so you may need to upgrade your PC for this game. But it’s got a lot of great stuff in it, and the fans are responding awesome.
Starfield is now available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Game Pass.
