Starfield: when can you start playing, release date and time

Starfield, Bethesda’s upcoming sci-fi adventure that is set to arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PC, is almost here, but when exactly can you start playing?

Starfield is one of the biggest names for a 2023 full of great games. After Baldur’s Gate 3, the remake of Resident Evil 4, and the extraordinary The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (among many others), the Xbox ecosystem will soon publish its great workhorse for this course. There are now only days left to start your space odyssey. We’ll tell you when and how you can start your adventure.

When is Starfield coming out on Xbox and PC?

Starfield has two release dates. The Standard Edition is planned for release on September 6 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. However, those who reserve the Premium Edition (or the Constellation Edition) on either system will be able to start playing from September 1. Yes, as you read: five days before everyone else.

Obviously, this entails a higher price compared to the basic version, but you will also receive a good amount of bonuses that we detail in this link. Remember that you will have to make plenty of space on your SSD to be able to install it.

When can you preload Starfield?

Bethesda announced today that Starfield has officially gone gold, meaning that the main development process is finally over. As if this wasn’t enough, they also revealed a huge surprise: Xbox and Windows PC players on the Xbox Launcher can download all of the game’s files from August 17 onwards, followed by Steam players on August 30.

By doing so you can make sure that you’ll be able to start playing from the exact minute the game goes live on release date, or if you purchased the Premium Edition, from its early access period.

What time will Starfield be released worldwide?

Starfield will officially launch early access on September 1 around the world, although certain territories will be able to start playing from August 31. The Standard Edition is expected to follow the same pattern.

  • August 31, 5:00 PM PST
  • August 31, 7:00 PM CST
