Steam Celebrates its 20th Anniversary with a Major Steam Deck Sale

Celebrating Valve in style.

Steam is celebrating, Valve’s popular store for digital distribution of video games turns 20 years old, and that is why the American company is celebrating in style. The Steam Deck is one of Valve’s most outstanding products in recent times, the portable machine allows us to enjoy an outstanding number of games from Steam’s almost infinite catalog anywhere, and the platform’s 20th anniversary is a fantastic opportunity to get it. Until September 21, all three Steam Deck models and some accessories, like the docking station, will be discounted. The discount is 10% off on the 64GB model, 15% off on the 256GB model and 20% off on the 512GB model and dock.

The prices of the Steam Decks with the discount are as follows

  • 64GB model - From $399 to $359
  • 256GB model - From $529 to $450
  • 512GB model - From $649 to $519

As you can imagine, these models are flying off the shelves (as if finding a Steam Deck was that easy), so you should keep an eye out for them to come back on sale.

Multiple ways to get a Steam Deck

There are more ways to get a Steam Deck than ever before, and since last August Valve has been selling refurbished Steam Decks through their official store. Many of you will ask, refurbished? Yes, these are units that for various reasons can no longer be considered new, such as those that have been opened after receipt, but the owner has decided to return them immediately. They are products that are no longer technically considered firsthand, therefore their price is lower.

The prices for the refurbished Steam Decks are as follows

  • 64 GB model - $320
  • 256 GB model - $420
  • 512 GB model - $520
