Shift Up

Stellar Blade devs listen to the players and announce two highly requested features for the game

Shift Up wants to receive players’ feedback to figure out their priorities with Stellar Blade, but they already have ideas for future content.

Stellar Blade

Although Stellar Blade has had a fantastic reception by both the press and the players, since its launch, it still has some new things to show off. Some will arrive as paid content, such as specific collaborations with other titles that the game’s director is already teasing, but others will come as free updates, with two highly requested features that the devs at Shift Up are already working on.

First future plans for Stellar Blade

One of them is a Photo mode, practically an essential nowadays in any self-respecting AAA title, and which players have not been able to enjoy until now when it comes to sharing their best captures. According to Lee Dong-Gi, lead designer at the Korean studio, it is something that is being discussed internally among the team members, and everything indicates that the surprise would be if it did not end up arriving sooner rather than later.

In addition, a new mode could arrive to add to New Game +, which has been available from the first day of the game on the market. One of the many strong points of Stellar Blade is the especially challenging boss fights, so another highly requested feature would be a Boss Rush mode, although Lee confesses that first of all, they want to monitor the behavior of the players with the title and receive feedback.

It has also been confirmed what the first collaboration/crossover with another game will be: “Nikke: Goddess of Victory”, the previous game developed by Shift Up, which is available on Mobile devices and PC and which is currently celebrating its 1.5th release anniversary.

“A very complete and demanding combat system, a long-lasting adventure and a very personal science fiction setting mean that today we can talk about a fabulous set that is already the number 1 candidate forsleeper of the year”, we said in our review of the game. “Eve won’t be an icon like Ellie or Aloy, but we hope this isn’t her last adventure.”

Stellar Blade is now available on PlayStation 5.
