Update:

Netflix had already told us yesterday that the long-awaited trailer for Stranger Things would arrive today. With less than a month to go before the release of the first batch of episodes, we finally have something more to see from one of the most successful and important series the streaming service has ever had in its history. And boy, are the residents of Hawkins, Indiana, having a rough time of it.

To the tune of Queen’s “Who Wants to Live Forever,” we get a glimpse of the Hawkins “kids” planning their final showdown. The town is guarded by the military, and the threat of not only the Demogorgons but also Vecna is palpable. To say that we see all the characters suffering in one way or another is an understatement.

An experience that will also be coming to theaters

The final season of Stranger Things promises to be an event that goes beyond what we are used to. It will be divided into three release dates, the first being November 26, with a total of four episodes. Then, we will have more on December 25, with the final episode premiering on December 31, an experience that will go beyond our television screens.

Although Netflix initially denied the Duffer brothers this opportunity, it changed its mind, and the final episode “The Rightside Up,” which will be two hours long and will debut on Netflix on December 31. The episode will be available in theaters at the same time it is released on Netflix, on December 31 at 5:00 p.m. PT, and will remain in theaters until January 1.

The experience will be available in 350 theaters across the United States and Canada, but details are unknown at this time.
