Street Fighter 6 is getting a new Showcase hosted by Lil Wayne: date and time

It is an excellent moment for fighting game fans since this year we have the confirmed releases of Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8... and Mortal Kombat 12?. For now, the only one with an official release date is Capcom’s game, which will arrive this June, a date that as it approaches is to be expected that the Japanese company will release more and more news. And so it is since they have announced a new event to reveal more about this highly anticipated fighting game.

This new showcase will take place on the 20th of April, at 3:00PM Pacific Time(PT), when Capcom will give us a new look at Street Fighter 6, in which there will also be an exceptional host. As announced, the rapper Lil Wayne will be in charge of leading the charge in an event that is promised to be essential and very big for the fans, since according to him, we will discover “new ways of playing.” This choice is no coincidence, since the tone and aesthetics of Street Fighter 6 take us back to the roots of hip-hop with a lot of colors and graffiti in its artistic style.

Something big is coming for fans of the fight

Although there are still things left to know about Street Fighter 6, there is a lot of information already confirmed. One of them is the number of characters that will be available at launch: there will be 18. Regulars like Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Blanka, Guile, Zangief, and Cammy will not miss the appointment, but also new faces like Luke, Lily, Jamie, and Manon.

In addition, they have been presenting some new game modes among which World Tour stands out, a kind of “career mode” in which you create an avatar and give it a fighting style, to go through a sort of open world carrying out all kinds of activities. They are still yet to reveal many more details about it, but what is certain is that it is something completely innovative in the genre.
