Street Fighter 6 shows off Rashid with a release date trailer
Rashid, Street Fighter 6′s first DLC character, gets a trailer to show off its smooth gameplay and reveal a release date.
Street Fighter 6 takes the first step in its post-launch content grid. Rashid will be the first fighter to join the roster after a fantastic launch for Capcom’snewest entry to its legendary series. We won’t have to wait long to play as him either: he will arrive on July 24 through the Year 1 Character Pass or those who have the Deluxe or Ultimate edition of the game on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, or PC.
Rashid’s new moves in Street Fighter 6
His gameplay trailer, which you can see below, allows us to get an idea of the abilities the character will boast. Among his newest moves is the Arabian Cyclone, with which he executes a spinning kick that conjures a whirlwind, key to transition to other heavy blows.
The character is also remixing some of his moveset from previous releases in the series. For example, Street Fighter 5′s V-Trigger hit is now performed at level 2 of its charge bar. The Footuber summons a whirlwind as a projectile that slowly heads toward the enemy’s position, pressuring opponents to the edge of the arena.
At level 1 of the same bar, he can perform a powerful kick that sends enemies into the air; At level 3, called Altair, he summons a storm that lifts the rivals before attacking with a chain of blows without the possibility of response. We can expect more movements “characterized by parkour and nimble movements while also utilizing whirlwinds/air currents to trifle with his opponents.”
To prepare for his arrival, this month’s Fighter Pass has Rashid as the protagonist. We can expect avatar gear related to him, as well as emotes, music, stickers, and more cosmetics. When it’s released, you’ll also be able to get a Fighter Ticket to try it out at no additional cost for a full hour.
