Taylor Swift in ‘Deadpool 3′? Ryan Reynolds answers

One of the longest rumors throughout the production of the first Merc with a Mouth installment in the MCU, and no one has confirmed or denied it yet.

Update:
Deadpool 3, Taylor Switft

When rumors start coming in with such consistency, you have to wonder if they will actually come true, and one of them sounds like one of the most important cameos in the MCU. Anyway, it has not been officially confirmed that Taylor Swift -one of the most passionate singers in the contemporary music industry- will appear in ‘Deadpool 3′, the crazy Marvel Studios movie starring Ryan Reynolds. The BBC asked the actor about the rumor (via the Vancouver Sun) and here is what he had to say:

“Yeah, I’ve heard that one. I love it (the gossip). I think it is a sign of how eager people are to get a peek behind the curtain in this world. Every single one of these secrets and spoilers will be revealed on July 26.” Bottom line: neither confirming nor denying, the mystery will be solved when the movie is released, unless a last-minute leak ruins the surprise.

The Swiftie (the term used to describe Taylor Swift’s true fans) will have to wait. Oddly enough, the singer’s fans are defined by different terms depending on their level of fanaticism. For example, a Swiftie enjoys her music but knows nothing about it, while Swifties are fake fans, a whole metalanguage that embodies the complexity of Swift’s community.

The director of ‘Deadpool 3′ doesn’t compromise either: these were his statements.

Combining the Taylor Swift phenomenon with that of the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems really crazy. Meanwhile, the team of the movie does not get out of line and avoids getting into puddles from which they will not be able to get out. That’s the line taken by director Shawn Levy, who declined to comment on the matter:

“They’re very loud,” he claimed in an interview with TheWrap. “I’m going across the board. ‘No comment’ because that’s a double whammy. That’s Taylor-related. And it’s MCU-related. I’m no dummy. You’re going to have to wait and see.”

‘Deadpool 3′ will be released in theaters only on July 26 next year. The movie was not spared the consequences of the strikes, as they had to stop filming.
