Taylor Swift scares Marvel, DC and even ‘The Exorcist: Believer’
Taylor Swift’s movie event forces the release of The Exorcist: Believer to move ahead of schedule, and even beating out Marvel and DC figures.
To say that Taylor Swift is just a music star would be an understatement because the singer turns everything she touches into gold. Such is the case with ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’, her tour that promises to break records not only in stadiums but also in movie theaters, this is due to the fact that its premiere will coincide with other events in theaters that it planned success has disrupted the plans of several productions.
One of them is The Exorcist: Believer, one of the most promising horror films for the rest of 2023, which was scheduled for release on October 13. And we say this because its producer, Jason Blum, did not think it was a good idea to coincide with Swift on the same weekend, so he decided to move the release of the film forward by one week, specifically to the 6th of the same month.
“Look what you made me do. The Exorcist: Believer moves to 10/6/23,” Blum wrote on X, accompanied by the hashtag #TaylorWins.

And looking at the pre-sale ticket numbers for ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’, Blum’s decision looks like a good bet. The movie so far has grossed a whopping $65 million from ticket pre-sales alone, heading into its release on the 13th. Absolutely stratospheric numbers, even more so when compared to some recent Marvel and DC productions.
On its first day, three hours after it went on sale, it had already reached 26 million, surpassing the figures for Spider-Man: No Way Home, although it still has some way to go to reach the total of Spidey’s last adventure, which is no less than 120 million. It has, however, smashed the mark of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ with 60 million, and is well above the figures of ‘The Batman’, which came in at 40 million.
