‘Ted Lasso' surprises and Season 4 feels closer than ever
AFC Richmond and its charismatic characters could be back on the small screen.
‘Ted Lasso’ is one of the most endearing and outstanding series of recent times, a work that began as a parody that, being so successful, became a reality and a television series with a legion of followers on Apple TV+. After three seasons, the creation of Jason Sudeikis seemed to have come to an end, and that was the vision of its creator, but rumors about the continuation of the series have remained constant.
Deadline has reported that Warner Bros. Television has renewed the contracts of three key cast members of the series: Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Walton), Brett Goldstein (Roy Keane), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins). An agreement was reached with the support of the UK’s Screen Actors Guild, and the goal now is to contact other actors who are members of SAG-AFTRA, including Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones) and Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard).

For its part, Deadline’s report highlights that “If all the elements come together, we hear production on a fourth season is eyeing an early 2025 start.” One of the great series of Apple TV+ would be very close to confirming its fourth season, which is a great joy to see if the adventures in AFC Richmond continue with one of the most charismatic human groups in recent television history.
The series synopsis reads as follows: “Ted Lasso is a naive American football coach who decides to try his luck at an English soccer club, AFC Richmond, but his inexperience initially arouses suspicion and disdain among players and fans. The team’s owner, Rebecca Welton, hires Lasso in the hope that he will fail and thus get revenge on the team’s previous owner, her unfaithful ex-husband.”
