The Boys Season 4 wraps up filming with Homelander bathed in blood

Actor Antony Starr releases some behind-the-scenes pictures and announces the end of filming for The Boys Season 4.

Update:
The Boys

We better arm ourselves with patience, because there are still a few months to go before the premiere of the fourth season of The Boys, considering that Gen V, its spin-off, is scheduled to arrive before. However, today we can say that a very important step has been taken and it is the end of the shooting of the next season, as announced by actor Antony Starr, who plays the unbearable Homelander, on his social media,

“Season four done and dusted for this blonde bozo. Congrats to the entire team xo,” Starr said on Twitter, accompanying the post with a selfie aboard a plane and hinting that it’s time to go home and rest.

He also posted some behind-the-scenes images on his Instagram account, this time bathed in blood, with the caption, “Question: does history repeat? (If so, why?) Look forward to your thoughts,” presumably in reference to the Season 2 finale, which ends with a climactic encounter between himself, his son, his son’s mother, Butcher, and Stormfront, and which ends the way a good episode of The Boys usually does: with lots of hemoglobin, severed limbs, and lots and lots of gore.

In fact, a brief but emphatic comment was released from the show’s official account assuring that “Just another day at Vought Tower,” while one fan made a great comment mentioning “What’s a season of the boys if not having a face covered in blood?”  Moreover, the production of The Boys assures that this upcoming fourth season will be the most brutal in terms of violence yet ... and that’s saying a lot.

In the meantime, if you haven’t seen it - and you should - you can already enjoy the first three seasons of The Boys on Prime Video and the animated miniseries Diabolical. There’s plenty of time to catch up until the fourth season premieres, even Gen V, which is scheduled for late this year, 2023.
