‘The Boys’ Season 5 is set to be a ‘Supernatural’ reunion with the arrival of two of the show’s stars
The final season of ‘The Boys’ brings back the main characters from Supernatural and reunites them with Jensen Ackles.

The connection between ‘The Boys’ and ‘Supernatural’ just keeps getting stronger, and it’s no surprise. With Eric Kripke, ‘Supernatural’ creator and showrunner for the first five seasons, at the helm of ‘The Boys’, the arrival of familiar faces was almost inevitable. Now, with the addition of Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins to the cast, the reunion is official on the Prime Video Series.
The boys reunite in ‘The Boys’
In a social media post from ‘The Boys’, Jensen Ackles, who previously appeared on the show as the legendary Soldier Boy, calls out his former Supernatural castmates. “Hey Jared, we got work to do... again,” Ackles says in the video, before giving way to Padalecki and then Collins.
For now, information about which characters they will play is being kept under wraps. However, this will be a dream come true for ‘Supernatural’ fans who will be able to see this trio of actors reunited. This is not the only time that Supernatural actors have appeared in ‘The Boys’. Among the most notable are Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jim Beaver. Hopes remain high that Morgan will share scenes with his former castmates, although his character, a hallucination of Butcher, presents a considerable challenge.
It should be recalled that the fifth season of ‘The Boys’ began filming last November and will be the last season of the series. Meanwhile, the second season of 'Gen V' is expected to premiere in the middle of this year. In addition, fans are still waiting for information about the spin-off set in Mexico, and ‘Vought Rising’ a prequel series set in the 1950s.
