An unforgettable moment that has not yet made it into the anime.

Jujutsu Kaisen’ is already history in the manga world, Gege Akutami’s work ended last September, but it still has a lot to offer in the anime. The anime adaptation has not yet reached one of those moments that mark, impact and shake readers around the world, an unforgettable event that its creator recently spoke about and explained why it happened.

One of the most anticipated fights in recent manga history ended in a way that many still cannot accept. Satoru Gojo and Sukuna, a seemingly endless duel that ended with a shocking image that spread like wildfire through the networks and was a massive spoiler as rarely seen. An official “Jujutsu Kaisen” exhibition is currently being held in Osaka, where Gege Akutami is answering questions from fans, including the truth behind Gojo’s death.

A mistake that paid dearly

“After defeating Mahoraga, Gojo thought that Sukuna had no way to avoid his infinity. I think the usual Gojo would have sensed that something was wrong & could have avoided a fatal wound,” Gege Akutami answers the question. A compelling reason, with a confident Satoru Gojo who lost by letting his guard down.

This is not the first time something like this has happened to the man known as the most powerful sorcerer of the modern era, as Toji Fushiguro has already caught him off guard, leading to a series of incidents of enormous impact in the history of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’. Furthermore, in the recent Shibuya Incident arc, Kenjaku manages to surprise him and imprison him in the cramped prison where he currently resides in the anime.
