Anime

The end of ‘Attack on Titan’ and the post-credits scene that surprises us and makes us rumble

‘Shingeki no Kyojin’ ends, a manganime to remember, leaving us with a final scene to debate and theorize about the future of its world.

Update:
shingeki no kyojin

It’s over, the moment we’ve been waiting for and dreading at the same time is now a reality. Shingeki no Kyojin is already anime history with a devastating final episode that lived up to expectations. An impressive conclusion that left absolutely nothing to be desired, and the post-credits scene showed the extra pages that the manga received after its conclusion.

In the scene we see the future of Paradis Island, a terrible fate in which it ends up totally destroyed, but something remains. The tree, a place where the remains of Eren Jaeger rest and which, little by little, has made its way to end up very similar to the one where it all began, the one found by Ymir Fritz, the founder, two millennia ago. Will history repeat itself? A young Eldian exploring the area with his dog finds the tree and observes it with curiosity, and it all ends when he is ready to enter it. From there, the end depends on each individual, and we do not know how much time has passed, what remains in the memory of the current population regarding what happened, with a modern and technologically advanced world, where perhaps the Titans can be confronted in a much more powerful way than when everything began with Ymir.

Shingeki no Kyojin, a work of history

A classic of our time, Attack on Titan will continue to be remembered as one of the most outstanding works of its time, a referential manga and an anime that was a mass phenomenon. The potential of the universe created by Hajime Isayama is enormous, and it could continue to expand with material of all kinds, but beyond the unknowns left by the post-credits scene, no one can say for sure if there will be a continuation of what has been experienced. It is just another example that history tends to repeat itself, that humanity keeps stumbling over the same stone, and so on, until the end of days.

Levi Ackerman is undoubtedly one of the most popular characters in the series, and we will be able to learn more about his story next April. A new picture book will add more story to the manga, titled ‘Volume 35′, and will have 18 new pages. Another sign that there is still much to be told in ‘Shingeki no Kyojin’.
