‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’: Does it have a post-credit scene?
Don’t leave the theater when the movie ends!

Marvel’s first family is returning to the big screen with Fantastic Four First Steps. This new installment, which debuts the family in the MCU, presents us with a world completely different from the one we know, but more importantly, it has the honor of kicking off Phase 6 of this cinematic universe. But as a good movie inspired by comics, and after almost two hours of footage, there remains the question we all ask ourselves after almost 17 years of going to the movies: Is there anything after the credits? Well, that’s one of the questions we’ll answer in this article.
Is there a post-credits scene at the end of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’?
For a change, this time the definitive answer is yes, ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ has two scenes that happen in the credits, one is in the middle of the credits, and the other comes right at the end. Are these two scenes important for the establishment of new enemies or the future of the new MCU? Stay with us and find out…
Note: Spoilers about the ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ post-credits scenes below, if you don’t want to know about it, skip to the end of our warning.
The first post-credits scene shows Sue Storm reading a book to little Franklin and goes in search of another. We know that one of his favorites, as HERBIE suggests, is The Origin of Species, which tells us that the little boy is highly intelligent. When she returns, his mother, carrying a couple of children’s books, finds him with a mysterious hooded figure, who is undoubtedly Dr. Doom, setting up the arc for the next film in the superhero family series. We don’t see his face or mask, as this is a trump card that Marvel is keeping up its sleeve. Why is Victor Von Doom interested in Franklin? His powers, which have already been seen in the film, may prove very desirable to the villain.
The second post-credits scene after the credits is more like a fun detail. We witness the introduction of the 1960s-style animated series of ‘The Fantastic Four’. This is a nod to the First Steps movie itself, where the quartet has become so famous as heroes that they have their own animated series. But it’s a gag, and not a bit that furthers the overall plot.
End of spoilers, here.
So you know... this time, if you want to see everything the movie has to offer, you need to stay until the last minute. So plan your timing, food consumption, and stay to enjoy everything the movie has to offer.
