Robert Downey Jr. has teased fans once again with a cryptic image that has sparked speculation: Could it be Galactus?
There’s more to the snacks on set than meets the eye.

The filming of Avengers: Doomsday is currently in development. As usual, the actors have come to publish images, being very careful not to show details that give much information related to the events of the film and keep everything as airtight as possible. In light of this, Robert Downey Jr. has already been posting images, but now, from the side of the villain Doctor Doom, and one of his most recent posts has caught the attention of fans, who are already starting to speculate.
This publication features the script with a label indicating “Doctor Doom,” along with a series of objects ranging from headphones to snacks. Also featured is a comic with an image of Latveria’s leader himself: the 2024 one-shot Doom #1 by writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Sanford Greene. But does this comic have any relation to Avengers: Doomsday?
What is Doom #1 about?
In this comic’s story, the story takes place in a bleak future where Victor von Doom becomes the last hope of the Marvel Universe in the face of Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds, imminent arrival. Given the significant role that this cosmic villain will play in the upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps, speculation is already underway as to how Doom might begin his involvement in the MCU.
Warning: Thunderbolts spoilers ahead!
In the movie formerly known as Thunderbolts* and now titled The New Avengers, the post-credits scene shows the FF ship arriving in the MCU. Knowing that Galactus is the main villain of the film featuring Marvel’s first family, one can’t help but wonder if Doom will arrive with these heroes and be introduced in Avengers: Doomsday.
