The Flash rushes in with a final trailer to show off Michael Keaton’s Batman
With only a few weeks before release, The Flash gets a final trailer where worlds collide for Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Sasha Calle, and many more surprises.
Warner Bros. has just officially released a new The Flash trailer, which you can find below, during CinemaCon 2023. DC Studio’s movie starring Ezra Miller is expected to say goodbye to the old DCEU and create an entirely new DC multiverse by taking Barry Allen to an entirely new universe, where old versions of the heroes and villains we know will clash in spectacular fashion.
This new trailer shows off Michael Keaton’s Batman in full force, with his voice over the trailer hinting at a close relationship with Miller’s Flash. Retired and old, this version of Bruce Wayne comes from a universe where metahumans don’t exist, which results in the world being completely vulnerable when General Zod (played once again by Michael Shannon, reprising the role from 2013′s Man of Steel by Zack Snyder) and his Kryptonian cronies come to conquer Earth.
The Flash is bringing new faces to the DCEU
Apart from the previously mentioned heroes and villains, this new movie will also present us with a new Supergirl, played by Sasha Calle, who seems to be inspired by some of the character’s darkest storylines. She will take the place of Superman in this new world where he doesn’t exist, facing off against Zod. However, she won’t do it alone. There’s also a different version of Barry Allen who may or may not have access to the Speed Force, but either way he’s shown in this trailer wearing the rumored super suit created from an old Batman armor.
Ben Affleck also makes an appearance as his version of the Dark Knight, reprising his role alongside Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. They’ve only been confirmed as cameos so far, so we’ll have to wait until the movie releases to find out more about their involvement.
The Flash is directed by Andy Muschietti, with a screenplay written by Christina Hodson (Bu,blebee). Miller stars as Barry Allen, alongside Keaton, Calle, and Shannon, with Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, and Ron Livingston as Henry Allen.
The Flash opens in theaters in North America on June 16, 2023, with the rest of the world releasing a few days earlier, on June 14.
