MAX

‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 at Max confirms the episode count, directors, and writers

The sequel to Naughty Dog’s PlayStation saga will hit screens in the spring of that year.

The Last of Us

Of all the movie and TV premieres in 2025, the second season of ‘The Last of Us’ in Max is probably one of the three most anticipated. It will be in April (the exact day has not yet been set) when Joel and Ellie will continue their journey and new characters like Dina and Abby, among others, will enter the scene. The wait is long, but it’s not too far away and to warm up, the platform has confirmed that this season will have a total of seven episodes. They also announced the names of the directors and writers of each episode.

Craig Mazin, who was a key player in the first season after winning everyone over with his work on ‘Chernobyl’, is the name that appears most often on the list. Neil Druckman, the creator of the video game franchise, is responsible for writing the last two episodes. It seems that he was particularly involved in the final part of a season that, based on everything that happens in ‘The Last of Us 2’ (video game), there is speculation that it could have two parts.
