‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 confirms premiere date in stunning trailer starring Ellie and Abby
The HBO series will be available on Max and will cover part of the second part of the video game.
A story of revenge, a visceral hatred that defies the logic of reason and sanity. In a place plunged into the apocalypse, survival is everything. Those who remember life in the old world know it’s never coming back; those born in hell know no better. In the first season of ‘The Last of Us’, Ellie and Joel traversed the ruined United States. The series, based on Naughty Dog’s video game of the same name, will return with new episodes soon. HBO has just released a teaser trailer confirming the premiere month .... and it’s coming soon! The second season will begin next April.
The alarm sounds and Abby (Kaitlyn Denver) wanders through the dilapidated corridors. She carries a gun and looks from side to side. Then a series of shots follow and we see characters like Joel (Pedro Pascal) or Ellie (Bella Ramsey). After the end of the first season, the protagonist duo lives relatively peacefully, but nothing lasts too long in this nightmarish reality where violence and death reign.
Will it cover all of The Last of Us Part 2?
Filming on the second season of The Last of Us wrapped last August. Casey Bloys, head of HBO and Max, stated at the time that the intention was to premiere the series in the first half of 2025. Although the exact day is not yet known, April will be the month and is just around the corner. The series will continue the story of the second game, but will not cover the entire title, so new seasons are expected in the future.
Naughty Dog has released the remake of The Last of Us and the remastering of The Last of Us Part 2 for the new generation. The studio is working on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a new sci-fi video game that was presented during The Game Awards 2024 gala and has no release date yet.
