The Last of Us Season 2 gets its first cast photo with Bella Ramsey (Ellie) and Isabella Merced (Dina)

After being delayed due to the strike of Hollywood writers and actors, the filming of the second season of ‘The Last of Us’ is now finally ready to start. This is what part of the cast celebrated in a restaurant in Vancouver, since, like the first season, filming will mostly take place in Canada. Among those present are Bella Ramsey (Ellie), Isabella Merced (Dina) and Young Mazino(Jesse), as well as one of the creators of the series, Craig Mazin.

‘The Last of Us’ S2 begins to take shape

The Zarak restaurant, located in the Canadian town, has shared on Instagram the first public image in which Ramsey and Merced are already seen together, who will star in a love story during this second season... but in which they will also have to face many tragedies.

However, the absence of Pedro Pascal (Joel), mainly because he is currently recovering from an arm injury which might even require surgery, can be strongly felt in the picture. Another important person who does not appear in it is Neil Druckmann, co-creator of the series and the franchise at Naughty Dog, and who should not take long to join the group.

Upon their return to Jackson, Ellie and Dina enter into a relationship in which, as we see over the course of The Last of Us Part II there is no shortage of ups and downs. Ellie’s desire for revenge for the actions of Abby, the most anticipated new actress of the second season, will cause that relationship to falter on more than one occasion.

Also missing from the photo is Kaitlyn Dever, the 27-year-old actress who will be in charge of giving life to Abby, Ellie’s antagonist in the story that the next episodes will tell. Her signing was already heavily rumored during the last months of 2023, since in fact, the actress already collaborated with Naughty Dog playing Cassie Drake, the daughter of Nathan Drake and Elena Fischer in Uncharted 4.
