The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria confirms a release date on PS5 and PC: Xbox will have to wait
A Lord of the Rings survival game based around Dwarves retaking their kingdom during the Fourth Age is coming, and we finally have a date.
The Lord of the Rings is a beloved work that now transcends beyond literature and cinema, slowly spreading for many years into video games. And very soon it’ll do so again, specifically on October 24, the release date of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. The title was announced last year during Summer Game Fest 2022 and drew attention because of the scenario chosen by Free Range Games to build its world: the Fourth Age.
Of course, the aforementioned release date is only for the PS5 and PC versions, since in the case of Xbox Series X|S, we will have to wait, at least, until the first months of 2024. Also, we remind you that in the case of PC, the game is exclusive to the Epic Games Store.

As for the synopsis, the official description says the following: “The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria follows the Dwarves as they embark on a new adventure to reclaim their legendary home of Moria beneath the Misty Mountains. Players will join forces to survive, craft, build and explore the iconic, sprawling mines. Courageous expeditioners will need to be vigilant as mysterious dangers await.”
Gollum’s Failure
We all hope that Return to Moria does much better than The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, a title that crashed both critically and commercially, to the point that its developers have said goodbye to video game development, canceling their second The Lord of the Rings project. It’s not an easy thing to recommend, but aren’t you curious to know what the worst game of the year according to Metacritic is like?
