The most brutal episode of the 'Halo' series hides a curious Easter egg: a limited edition Xbox

The Paramount+ series based on the adventures of the Master Chief has left us a most peculiar and hidden wink: did you notice it?

Update:
Halo Xbox limited edition

‘Halo’, the Paramount+ series that adapts the adventures of Master Chief in live action, is in the middle of its second season, with episodes that deal with the Covenant’s advance on the UNSC’s defensive positions. A second batch of episodes that can be seen on Paramount+ and that recently gave us the most brutal and spectacular episode of the series under the title Reach; although between the explosions and shootouts there was room for a curious easter egg: an entire Halo Special Edition Xbox. Did you notice?

An original Xbox Halo that survived into the future

Without going into too much detail about the plot of the fourth episode of the ‘Halo’ series, entitled Reach, the Covenant launches a full-scale attack on the planet, giving the viewer some truly heart-stopping war sequences between the Spartans and the Covenant. Of course, the higher budget of this second season is evident in both the visual effects and the cinematography of these action-packed scenes.

But back to the Easter egg theme, in between some of the skirmishes, John-117 and Corporal Perez hide among the ruins of the buildings of Reach, finding a seemingly safe place; until they meet the owner of the shop. After an exchange of words and something else, the protagonists try to convince the woman to escape while she shows them both the products she has in her shop, real antiques from Earth.

Well, among the various objects exhibited in the store we can see a Halo Special Edition Xbox, an exclusive version that was released at the time along with the first installment of Halo. And since the scene is very dark and you probably did not notice it, we leave you with these images with the brightness increased so that you can see this curious nod to the Halo universe itself.
