The new Assassin’s Creed Shadows mode makes the game more authentic and realistic than ever
Ubisoft’s title, set in feudal Japan, will be released on March 20 and is the first exclusive for the current generation.
After visiting Egypt, traveling to Greece, and conquering the Old Continent, Ubisoft takes us to the eastern lands. Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the new installment in the saga, follows the same RPG scheme as the last main titles, but this time they have chosen one of the most requested settings by fans, no more and no less than feudal Japan. In the 16th century, Oda Nobunaga tried to unify the territory and fights against other warlords, all surrounded by the mythology of Assassins and Templars. Although Assassin’s Creed has always been fiction, it has never lacked historical authenticity in its settings. In this game you take a step forward with the Immersive Mode, what does it consist of?
As with previous releases on the franchise, the title developed by Ubisoft Quebec can be played with Spanish, English, Japanese, etc. dubbing. So far, everything is the same as in other installments. However, some players like the characters to speak in their native language, but sometimes there are inconsistencies. For example, if you choose French in Assassin’s Creed Unity, all the characters will speak in that language, even the ones who should be speaking English. What Immersive Mode does is make it more consistent.
How does the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Immersive Mode work?
By selecting Assassin’s Creed Shadows Immersive Mode, the Portuguese priests will speak in Portuguese, Yasuke will do the same with them (and his accent is noticeable), while he will switch to Japanese when chatting with any Japanese character. This option adds to an already fantastic setting.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on March 20th for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game has been delayed twice, most recently to polish the final aspects of the game.
