Update:

Everything seemed to indicate that Barry Keoghan’s character in ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ would play a decisive role in the film. Not surprisingly, rumors suggested that he was the new leader of the Birmingham gang that Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) left, as confirmed by his sister Ada in the new trailer. What we didn’t see coming is the surprise revealed in this new preview of the film, which is that Keoghan is none other than an adult Duke Shelby.

Duke Shelby is the protagonist’s illegitimate son, born of a relationship with a young Romani woman named Zelda before Tommy left for World War I. Duke’s questionable leadership of the gang will be the main reason for Tommy’s return to Birmingham, and his return to a lifestyle he thought he had left behind, one that brought him more grief than pleasure.

The deaths of John and Polly, and Arthur’s alcohol problems, have left Tommy completely alone, as his sister never wanted to be part of the Shelby family’s criminal life. What is also truly surprising is that it seems there will be much wider implications to the dispute, and it could even affect the outcome of World War II.

In addition, this new trailer gives us a closer look at the characters played by Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Roth, who plays a British fascist sympathizer. In fact, right now, the big question that remains unanswered is who Ferguson’s character Kaulo is and what her relationship with Tommy Shelby is.

When will ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ be released?
