The ‘Peaky Blinders’ movie is happening, with Cillian Murphy returning as Tom Shelby

The ‘Peaky Blinders’ film is becoming a reality, set during World War II and with Steven Knight, the creator of the series, leading the production.

Update:
Peaky Blinders

The ‘Peaky Blinders’ movie will be released sometime in 2025 if everything goes according to plan. A highly awaited project for fans of one of the most acclaimed series of the 21st century, the producershave confirmed confirmed that Cillian Murphy, star of the show and brand new Oscar winner for his work in ‘Oppenheimer’ will return to play Tom Shelby again in the film.

Recently, Steven Knight (creator of the series) revealed to Birmingham World that the popular Irish actor is on board with the project. Knight did not miss the opportunity to shower him with praise, ensuring that he is a great person and that he deserves every good thing that happens to him. Of course, he said absolutely nothing about the film’s script, so the only thing that is known so far is that it will be set during World War II and that the plot will be divided into two different plotlines.

Where to watch ‘Peaky Blinders’

Since the movie’s release is still about a year away, there’s plenty of time to catch up on - or watch for the first time - the series, right? ‘Peaky Blinders’ is available exclusively on Netflix and has six seasons.

Cillian Murphy will also flee from zombies again

In addition to his brilliant work in ‘Oppenheimer’ and confirming his return to the role of Tom Shelby in the ‘Peaky Blinders’ film, Cillian Murphy will also face zombies again in ‘28 Years Later’, the new film in the ‘28 days later’ franchise. Of course, it remains to be seen if he will limit himself to producing the film or if he will also dare to put himself in the shoes of Jim, the protagonist of the original movie.
