After the success of its first season, expectations surrounding season 2 of the live-action ‘One Pieceshow are enormous. Thankfully the production is living up to them, as a casting with which followers of Eiichiro Oda’s work has been more than satisfied. One of the most prominent actors who will be part of the Netflix series is David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3 and now we can get an idea of what he will look like in the series thanks to a small detail that could be seen in a recent behind-the-scenes video.

During the video, you can see two statues that look familiar, and they are the models of the live-action characters. One is the recognizable Monkey D. Luffy played by Iñaki Godoy, and next to him is the charismatic Mr. 3 by David Dastmalchian who aims to be an extremely faithful representation of the characters from Eiichiro Oda’s manga and anime and who will be one of the main villains of the second season of the live action.

David Dastmalchian and a versatile film career

The actor is a regular in a large number of box office hits, and at 49 years of age, the feeling is that his career is on the rise. ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘Ant-Man’, ‘Blade Runner 2049′ and ‘Oppenheimer’ are some of the films in which he has participated, and now his role as Mr. 3 can bring him closer to many more viewers, a villain who makes his mark in the series and, although it may seem incredible, is one of those who complicated things the most for the Straw Hats in their epic adventure.
