The Super Mario Bros. Movie has post-credits scenes: here’s how many and what they mean
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is out now, and there are two extra scenes after the credits with surprises and secrets for fans that stay until the very end.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is finally in theaters, the long-awaited adaptation of the adventures of Mario, Luigi, Peach, and company in charge of Illumination -creators of The Minions- and Nintendo, an authentic tribute to the franchise in the form of an animated feature film. And as is to be expected, the film contains some extra winks and secrets in a couple of post-credit scenes at the end of it. For this reason, we are going to tell you what these two scenes hide and what they mean for the future of the Super Mario film franchise. Beware of spoilers from the next paragraph.
What is the meaning of the post-credit scenes in The Super Mario Bros Movie
As was already revealed by Chris Pratt, the famous actor who lends his voice to Mario, the film has two post-credit scenes. The first of these post-credit scenes in The Super Mario Bros. Movie - which takes place after the first credits- is nothing more than a gag starring Bowser after his ultimate defeat. All this through an encore of his song, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, on piano in which the villain insists declares his love for Princess Peach; yes, the ballad is made from inside a bird cage in which he is captive due to his now tiny size. In the end, there is a Toad Castle Guard who urges Bowser to shut up.
The second post-credits scene is shown at the end of all the credits and gives us information about what could come in a possible sequel, which has not yet been confirmed. The camera enters the passageways of the Brooklyn sewers after all the chaos caused by the appearance of Bowser and his army; although apparently, something else has arrived from the Mushroom Kingdom. It’s a Yoshi egg that begins to hatch with the characteristic endearing cry of the little green dinosaur.
Will Mario and Luigi have to return from the Mushroom Kingdom when Baby Yoshi starts wreaking havoc in New York due to his incessant hunger? Without a doubt, it would be a fine excuse to unleash a sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
