The surprises won’t be long in coming in ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ and its opening scene is set to break the internet
A leak claims that two beloved characters will star in the opening scene of ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ a move with which Marvel reinforces the multiverse and ramps up the hype.

We’re all quite clear on the fact that before, during, and after the premiere of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, the only thing anyone will be talking about is the movie. It’s going to be full of surprises, but what we didn’t expect is that these surprises would come so quickly—since everything points to the audience jumping out of their seats right from the opening scene. The insider MyTimeToShineHello, who’s always spot-on when it comes to superhero movies, has confirmed the appearance of two major characters in the film, and things are looking promising.
The following contains potential spoilers for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Stop reading here if you don’t want to know more about the opening scene.

The two characters in the opening scene of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ are going to surprise you (SPOILERS)
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will be packed with great heroes. Some MCU classics will be back, such as Steve Rogers, Thor, and Sam Wilson, but we’ll also see more recent additions like Yelena Belova, Lewis Pullman, and the Fantastic Four. What we didn’t expect was for the film’s opening scene to feature two characters who were not only unconfirmed but for whom all signs pointed to them not even being in the movie at all.
Now, a post on X that seemed trivial isn’t so trivial after all, since, as we mentioned earlier, the insider MTTSH has commented on it by simply saying “True.” In other words, it’s true: the first two characters we’ll see on screen in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will be Wolverine and Deadpool. Unfortunately, it seems their appearance will be purely symbolic, since the same insider pointed out some time ago that ‘this’ happened in that scene and… well (spoilers).

Neither of them had been announced, and both were absent from the famous “chairs” video that drew millions of viewers—though Chris Evans wasn’t there either, and we all know what happened. The fact is that neither has categorically denied that they were in the movie; in fact, they’ve stated that they were completely open to playing their respective mutants. Hugh Jackman said some time ago that his guts told him he wasn’t done with Wolverine, while Ryan Reynolds was actively writing a new project featuring Deadpool.
Robert Downey Jr. Is Back as Dr. Doom
After launching the MCU in 2008 with ‘Iron Man’, Robert Downey Jr. will be returning to the Marvel Universe—though this time on the other side. Following a period in which Marvel Studios needed to reassess its direction after several critical and box office setbacks—such as ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ and ‘The Marvels’—Kevin Feige opted for a bold move.
That marked the actor’s return following the death of his character, Tony Stark, in ‘Avengers: Endgame’, but in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ he’ll be the big bad, Dr. Doom. Although the villain already made his debut in the post-credits scene of ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’, it will be in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ where we’ll see him at his absolute best. Apparently, the villain has manipulated the multiverse so that the characters from the MCU, the Fantastic Four, and the FOX mutants—including Wolverine himself—will cross paths.
“There’s something going on in ‘Doomsday’ and forward that is literally the only antidote to: How do you not have these films be let down after an ‘Infinity War’ and an ‘Endgame?’ And boy, have we labored long and hard to bring that down,” the actor said recently.
