The ‘Whole Bloody Affair’ trailer delivers the ‘Kill Bill’ fans have waited decades for

Quentin Tarantino’s complete vision of The Bride’s revenge saga unites Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 into one seamless, four-hour epic.

Update:

After years of being locked away in the vault and only shown during select, rare events, Quentin Tarantino’s definitive cut of his revenge epic is finally getting a wide release. Lionsgate has announced that Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, which unites 2003’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and 2004’s Kill Bill: Vol. 2, will debut in a nationwide theatrical rollout starting December 5th.

The epic-length edition presents the sprawling saga of The Bride, played by Uma Thurman, exactly as director Tarantino originally conceived and filmed it: as a single, cohesive cinematic experience. This means the movie removes the artificial cliffhanger ending from Vol. 1 and the recap that traditionally began Vol. 2, allowing The Bride’s quest for vengeance against Bill and the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad to flow seamlessly for the audience.

The single-feature edition boasts a runtime of 281 minutes—nearly four hours and 41 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission, ensuring players/viewers get the complete, uncut, and unrated vision.

The Grandeur of a Single Feature

The director has long maintained that this combined version is the superior way to experience the film, famously stating, “I wrote and directed it as one movie—and I’m so glad to give the fans the chance to see it as one movie”.

Lionsgate is also committed to honoring the director’s cinematic sensibilities by planning specialty screenings in 35mm and 70mm prints. This focus on classic film formats elevates the experience for the audience, delivering the movie on a grand scale as Tarantino intended, highlighting the beautiful—and bloody—visuals of the action classic.
