This is how the faces of the main characters in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have changed from the original
The latest trailer for Insomniac Games’ new Spider-Man game has stirred up a new controversy: Have the protagonists’ faces changed for the better or worse?
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was seen again as part of the panel at the recent San Diego Comic-Con 2023, through which we were able to enjoy a new and spectacular trailer of the story with a staging of Venom. Although one of the most controversial aspects of this new trailer were the new faces of the main protagonists, including Peter Parker, Mary Jane, and Miles Morales, quite different from the first Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4, the PS5 remastering and the Miles Morales installment. But how much have the faces changed from installment to installment? This video from the ElAnalistaDeBits channel has the answer.
How much have the characters in Marvel’s Spider-Man changed?
While it is obvious the evolution of faces in the saga of Marvel’s Spider-Man, according to Insomniac Games are the result of the maturity of the characters over time. Let’s remember that from the first game to the remastering, a new actor’s face was chosen for Peter Parker, although from what we can see in the upcoming sequel for PS5, the faces of the main protagonists have continued to change.
This is especially noticeable on characters like Peter Parker or Mary Jane, whose faces have changed more than you might expect, even from the remaster of the first title for PS5 to the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Miles Morales’ face follows the line of the original, although there is also a slight evolution, though not as pronounced.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will arrive exclusively on PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023. As a reminder, it will also be possible to purchase a PS5 customized with themes from the game and the DualSense also customized with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 title in digital format in the same pack, in addition to the possibility of purchasing the cases or the game controller separately.
