MCU

This is what Ryan Reynolds’ new Deadpool looks like in Deadpool 3: First photos from the set

The first photos from the set of the upcoming Marvel Studios movie have leaked, with the look of the new Merc with a Mouth costume in the MCU.

Update:
Deadpool 3

Deadpool 3, the expected new installment of the Merc with a Mouth in the movies, now as part of the MCU, is already in full shooting and we already have the first images from the set where we see the new red and black suit of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. And the first thing that stands out is that this new look, without being at all revolutionary and very continuist, is that it is a bit more faithful to the comics, showing a more lycra texture than the classic leather outfit of the previous films.

Here’s what Deadpool’s new MCU costume looks like

As we said, the suit is very similar to Deadpool’s previous big screen appearances, although the red material of the suit now seems to be going for a finer texture than the rough leather seen in both Deadpool and Deadpool 2, as well as a brighter red color. The mask is also very similar, if not identical, with the characteristic white eyes. Where we see more differences is in the different accessories, such as the ammunition pouches and other elements.

On the other hand, the belt buckle now shows the updated Deadpool logo, the same one ripped by Wolverine’s claws that we saw during the movie’s presentation some time ago. In the absence of seeing the classic katanas and guns, everything points to the fact that we will see the most comic book version of Deadpool in the MCU. And while we wait to see the new costume of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, everything indicates that we will also see a Wolverine taken directly from the comics with the classic yellow suit, something we never got to see in Fox’s mutant movie with Marvel.

Deadpool 3 is scheduled for release on May 3, 2024, a movie that promises to be a mutant festival of the multiverse, with both protagonists landing in the MCU for good.
