Tom Holland reveals his favorite video game: “I love the game so much”

The actor from ‘The Odyssey’ and ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is full of praise for one of the best games in PlayStation history.

Update:

Tom Holland is one of the busiest—and most successful—actors of the year. He’s the undisputed star of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ and plays a major role (as Telemachus, the son of Odysseus and Penelope) in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey.’ When he participates in talks and interviews, he often opens up to his fans to show his more personal side. Recently, the actor shared a funny story about the invitation he sent to Erling Haaland, and now, on Josh Horowitz’s podcast, he’s revealed that The Last of Us: Part 2 is his favorite video game.

Holland has admitted that he doesn’t play much, but he didn’t hesitate for a second when choosing the best game he’s ever played. “So good.” Furthermore, the actor explained that, for that very reason, he decided not to watch the HBO series: “I haven’t watched the series because I love the game so much.” He didn’t specify why, as the reason for skipping the series could be that he doesn’t feel the need to relive the story or—as is the case with some players—that he believes it might not live up to the game he’s enjoyed so much.

The series, by the way, has a third season in the works. It will be the last, since the video game saga consists of two installments, and the second is split into two seasons of the HBO Max series. If all goes well, the final season will premiere in 2027.

The sequel to Naughty Dog’s acclaimed title was originally released on PS4, but it also features a remastered version packed with improvements for PS5 and PC via Steam.
