Vehicles are officially coming to LEGO Fortnite very soon: everything we know

LEGO Fortnite is preparing for the arrival of proper vehicles in the next Fortnite content update on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. And is that although for now, it is possible to build rudimentary cars whose wheels can not rotate, patch 29.10 will add directional wheels that will allow us to drive in better conditions.

Epic Games announced the arrival of directional wheels and new vehicle types in LEGO Fortnite with the release of patch 29.10 on March 26.

To download the patch, simply log into Fortnite on that day at the appropriate time based on the time zone you live in, and the new content will automatically download.

As we commented, since the launch of LEGO Fortnite last December 2023, it has been possible to create rudimentary vehicles based on the combination of available parts, such as the two different types of wheels and dynamic foundations. However, the main problem with cars created in this way is that they cannot turn because there are no directional wheels. In other words, they can only move in a straight line, which is not very practical. Patch 29.10 of Fortnite and LEGO Fortnite aims to solve this serious problem by introducing mobile wheels that allow you to turn at will.

But that’s not all. Although Epic Games does not explicitly comment on it, in the image published as an announcement of this new feature of the game we can see several types of vehicles such as a quad and a buggy. Their complex design suggests that they are not custom creations, but rather prefabricated vehicles that can be easily built using the game’s construction menu.

In short, one of the big new features of the next Fortnite patch will be the arrival of these new vehicles and directional wheels. This is an improvement to the game that will not only allow us to move around the game’s vast worlds with ease, but will also allow us to create new custom experiences such as races or other types of competitions.
