Sony Pictures

‘Venom 3’ moves its release date earlier and reveals its full title

Sony Pictures has made some changes to its release schedule, pushing ‘Venom 3′ to an earlier release and sharing important details about the movie.

Venom 3 Sony Marvel Tom Hardy

‘Venom 3′, the third entry of the symbiote franchise in the Spiderverse by Sony Pictures alongside Marvel, has pushed its release date to an earlier date and confirmed its new title: ‘Venom: The Last Dance’. This was revealed by those responsible (via Deadline), announcing its new theatrical release date: October 25, 2024. In this way, what should be the closing of the trilogy starring Tom Hardy will arrive two weeks earlier than what was previously announced.

All the news about ‘Venom 3′: date and title

Thus, in 2024 in which the superhero genre is going through a period of low revolutions - let us remember that the new DCU won’t properly return until summer 2025 and Marvel Studios will only release ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ this year-, Sony Pictures is taking advantage of the opportunity to attack with all its artillery, releasing up to three films from its peculiar Spiderverse, with ‘Madame Web’ now in theaters, even if it fumbles at the box office.

Full screen

After the upcoming premiere of ‘Kraven the Hunter’ with Aaron Taylor-Johnson -which will hit theaters in August-, it’ll be the turn of Tom Hardy’s symbiote, now with a premiere set for October 25 instead of November 8 as announced until now.

Furthermore, taking advantage of the announcement of the date change, it has been confirmed that it will finally receive the title of ‘Venom: The Last Dance’, possibly, in reference to the trilogy closing after ‘Venom’ (2018) and ‘Venom: There Will Be Carnage’ (2021). We’ll see if Venom finally crosses paths with any Spider-Man, either in his own universe or as part of the next multiversal crossover Marvel Studios has been preparing with their next installments of the Avengers.

The arachnid future in film and television

Sony Pictures continues planning future productions based on the characters of the Spiderverse, both in film and television:
