‘Watchmen: Chapters 1 & 2’, the animated adaptation of Alan Moore’s classic, gets its first trailer

The legendary graphic novel by Alan Moore, Watchmen, is getting an animated adaptation and it already looks incredible.

Update:
watchmen

Watchmen’, the comic by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, started its publication in 1986 and is considered by many to be the best superhero story of all time. A work that has won many awards and, over the years, its recognition has grown. A very difficult story to adapt, it had a film in 2009 directed by Zack Snyder that many feel is an underrated production; There was also a miniseries that came out in 2019, and that, as he does with each of the adaptations of its works, Alan Moore refused to accept.

This year will see the release of ‘Watchmen: Chapters 1 & 2′ an animated adaptation that aims to be very faithful to the comic, and that is why it will come out in two parts. The first can be seen on August 13, 2024, while for the second we will have to wait a little longer until 2025.

An animated adaptation of ‘Watchmen’

After its multiple appearances in live-action format, ‘Watchmen’ will soon arrive in the world of animation. A much more feasible transition for a comic and one that aims to adapt the complex work of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons in the best possible way.

The synopsis of the ‘Watchmen’ comic reads as follows: “Who watches the Watchmen? New York, 1985. The bloody murder of Edward Blake, the Comedian, leaves behind a blood-stained smiley and mobilizes the few vigilantes who are still alive. One of the most decisive and implacable, Rorschach, undertakes an investigation that will make him reunite with the disillusioned Night Owl, the powerful Dr. Manhattan, the billionaire Ozymandias, considered the smartest man in the world, and the reluctant and tormented Silk Ghost. Together they will face a terrible past, under the shadow of the Minutemen, and will try to overcome it to save the future... if the end, ever closer, does not come sooner and destroy the Earth completely.”
