With a new subscription tier, MAX subscribers in the US will have access to MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA Men’s March Madness, and more for an additional fee.
The sports season never ends. The MLB is currently underway, the NFL has been underway for a few weeks, and the NBA and NHL are just weeks away. Building on this momentum, MAX has announced a new subscription tier that provides access to live streaming of multiple sports.
MAX’s new sports subscription tier: Bleacher Report Sports Add-On
Starting next Thursday, October 5, MAX subscribers will have the option to subscribe to the Bleacher Report Sports Add-On, a tier that “delivers a full slate of premium live sports, including MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA Men’s March Madness and U.S. Soccer events.” The launch is expected to coincide with the start of the NHL regular season, NBA Opening Night, and the MLB postseason.
“We want to be everywhere sports fans are and our unparalleled offering of leading sports, combined with the power of the Bleacher Report brand and content, including the unique way B/R engages with young sports fans, all delivered through the new Max platform will enable us to broaden our audience and delight new fans,” said on a press release Luis Silberwasser, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports.
How much will Bleacher Report Sports Add-On be priced and what promotions are available?
As a nice promotion, MAX subscribers will be able to watch live sporting events for free during a trial period that runs through February 29. After that date, all MAX entertainment packages will cost $9.99 per month.
