The One Piece live-action is just hours away from arriving after a long time in development, (and a colossal budget), and what has been seen so far has fans excited and it looks like that we will finally have an anime adaptation that is up to expectation. So with just a few days left to put on our straw hats and scream our dreams to become a pirate, let’s check out when and what time we’ll be weighing anchor to join this highly anticipated Netflix adaptation.

When will the One Piece live-action premiere?

The One Piece live-action action will premiere on August 31, 2023, in the United States through Netflix. As usual with this streaming service, all episodes will be released on the same day, so the night is long to watch the whole season until the next morning.

When will One Piece premiere on Netflix?

As mentioned above, the show will be available in the early morning hours of August 31, so you can start your marathon at the following time, depending on where you are in the United States:

  • 3:00 AM ET
  • 2:00 AM ET
  • 12:00 AM PT

How many episodes and how long is each episode of One Piece?

The first season will have a total of 8 episodes with an approximate length of 50 minutes. This first season is expected to cover the entire East Blue arc of the manga and anime, which is about 60 episodes and 100 episodes respectively. Throughout its development, Eiichiro Oda, the mangaka creator of One Piece, has been closely involved in the development of this series since he approved it in 2016. Earlier this year, Oda revealed in a letter that there was a moment when he had doubts about its realization, but in the end, and with Netflix’s promise that the series would not be released until he himself was satisfied with the result, here we are, a few hours away from setting sail.
