Fortnite is gearing up for a spooky Halloween event, and Epic Games is already dropping hints about what’s to come.
Epic Games begins to create great expectations for this year’s Halloween event in Fortnite, which promises to bring back many of the characteristic elements of this time of year as new horror outfits. In this news, we’ll summarize everything known about the Halloween 2024 event in Fortnite, including when it starts and what’s new. Let’s get to it:
When will the Halloween 2024 event start in Fortnite?
Epic Games itself has revealed through a funny trailer that this year’s Halloween event in Fortnite will start on Friday, October 11, 2024. Below we leave you with the video in question:
On that day, the new Fortnite patch 31.40 will be released, which we will need to download in order to be able to log in and access all the new features once the servers are no longer in maintenance mode. The end date of the event is expected to be next Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 8:00 AM ET, as this is when the current season of the game will end.
In the trailer you can see what will be the great novelties of the game in these dates regarding new horror outfits. On the one hand, we have a little witch and a rag monkey costume as new original outfits. On the other hand, there are some nice surprises in terms of collaborations: Billy from ‘Saw’, Leatherface from ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ and Mephisto, the Marvel equivalent of Satan.
What will be new during the Halloween 2024 event in Fortnite?
Both through leaks and official confirmations, the following changes and additions are currently known to be coming during Fortnite’s Halloween 2024 event:
- There will be changes to the map with vegetation and giant Halloween pumpkins. This “corruption” originates from Grand Glacier, the giant hotel in the east of the map. The reason for this is that Tony Stark’s equipment used to defeat Doctor Doom ended up in this place after the fight, and their malfunction causes all kinds of “unexpected guests” to arrive on the island.
- Classic items like the Witch’s Broom and the Jack-O-Launcher will return to the game. Residential areas such as Reckless Railways will also feature Halloween decorations.
- New Halloween-themed outfits will arrive from both original Fortnite and horror collaborations, such as a new creepy Marshmello, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Billy from Saw, or Marvel’s Mephisto. Billy’s tricycle will also be a new Mythic weapon.
- Halloween outfits from previous years are expected to return to the store during these days.
- New quests for both XP and free exclusive cosmetic items.
Much of this information has been confirmed thanks to the presence of a themed loading screen, which was added to Fortnite in the latest patch.
