When does the new Fortnite season kick-off? Here’s everything we know

We’ll tell you everything you need to know about the next Fortnite season: what’s known so far, when it launches, leaks, and more.

Update:
fortnite nueva temporada noviembre 2023

There are only a few weeks left until the end of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4: November 3, 2023, which is when this Fortnite season is expected to end. However, one of the most recurring questions at this point in the season is still up in the air: when does the new Fortnite season start? Here we’re compiling everything we know about the game’s new season, both from official announcements and from leaks and data mining we’ve done ourselves:

When does Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 end?

As you can see in the Battle Pass tab from the beginning of the season, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 ends on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 2:00 AM ET. This date and time is equivalent to the following throughout the United States:

  • 2:00 AM ET
  • 1:00 AM CT
  • 11:00 PM PT (Thursday)

Keep in mind that there could be some last-minute delay or advancement that changes the date and time, in which case Epic Games would clarify it. For now, this is the official information from the game itself.

When will the new Fortnite season start?

There is currently no information from Epic Games itself, but according to the popular and reputable dataminer iFireMonkey, the new Fortnite season will start on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 1:00 AM PT. FireMonkey has a good track record of getting it right, and has been covering the game’s new releases for several years now.

This date and time is equivalent to the following throughout the United States:

  • 4:00 AM ET
  • 3:00 AM CT
  • 1:00 AM PT

What will happen in Fortnite’s new season and final event?

The crux of the matter is whether what begins this day will be a new mini-season or an event, in the absence of an official name by Epic Games. We’re sure it’ll last a month, that Kado Thorne’s time machine will have a lot to do, and that many elements from Chapter 1 Season 5 will return, including parts of the map.

What we know so far, both from what is being discussed in the data mining community and from data we have confirmed ourselves, is the following:

  • Kado Thorne’s time machine will fail, causing the island of Chapter 4 to go back in time and collide with the island of Chapter 1. It will not be the entire Chapter 1 map, but this new map will mix some areas of the Chapter 1 and Chapter 4 maps. This is considered to be a month-long event codenamed “Rufus” in the game files.
  • This event would begin on November 6, 2023, at 4:00 AM ET and end on December 2, 2023, at 10:00 PM ET.
  • Some classic weapons and classic weapon models will return.
  • The classic Battle Bus will return.
  • There will be two sets of quests.
  • There will be map changes each week during the four-week event.
  • There will be a LEGO collaboration codenamed “Rufus Juno”.
  • At the end of this mini-season, the Black Hole will return, taking us to Chapter 5.

All this information comes from unofficial but reliable sources. As we commented, the Fortnite data mining community is dedicated to digging into the game’s code and official servers to uncover every last detail that Epic Games leaves there, unconsciously or not.
