When is LoL Worlds 2023?: Date and time of the matches

League of Legends Worlds 2023 is about to begin.

One of the highlights of the year for eSports is about to begin. The League of Legends World Championship 2023 is just around the corner, and the most important event of the season for Riot Games’ MOBA will take place in South Korea, this time divided in Seoul and Busan, pitting the world’s best teams against each other.

A total of 22 teams will compete in three phases. Starting with the Play-in, eight teams will try to qualify for the next phase, but only two will make it. Once there, the second phase of the tournament will take place, featuring a Swiss competition system for the first time at Worlds. Here, 16 teams will compete, 14 qualifiers and 2 play-ins, where only eight teams will advance to the Knockout stage, starting with the quarterfinals.

When does League of Legends Worlds 2023 begin?

The League of Legends Worlds 2023 begins with the Opening Round on October 10th and ends with the Grand Final on November 19th.

Worlds 2023 dates and times

You might want to prepare a lot of coffee or consider not sleeping for the next few weeks. Here are the dates and times for League of Legends Worlds 2023.

  • The opening phase (play-in) will take place from October 10th to 15th at the LoL Park in Seoul. The play-in will begin at 3:00 am ET / 12:00 am PT.
  • The Swiss phase will take place from October 19-23 and 26-29 at the KBS Arena in Seoul. The first match will kick off at 3:00 am ET / 12:00 am PT.
  • The quarterfinals will take place from November 2-5 and the semifinals from November 11-12, with all games being played at the Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan. Each day of the finals begins at 3:00 am ET / 12:00 am PT.
  • The League of Legends Worlds 2023 Finals will be held on November 19th at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, the country’s largest indoor arena and home of the Kiwoom Heroes baseball team.
