When is The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom coming out: Dates, trailer and gameplay

A new installment in the legendary franchise, full of creativity and possibilities in 2D.

Link has disappeared and Princess Zelda is the protagonist, so begins The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, one of the big surprises of the last Nintendo Direct on September 26. A 2D game that takes the aesthetics of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on Nintendo Switch and, in a display of personality and originality, puts us in the skin of Princess Zelda in her attempt to save Hyrule. Creativity and all the magic seen in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom in a 2D game that aims high.

What is The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom about? Disappearances, rifts have appeared throughout Hyrule. Many people have vanished, including Link himself. It is at this point that Zelda meets the mysterious fairy Tri and receives the Tri Scepter, a mysterious object with which she will embark on a journey through Hyrule to save her own kingdom. How does the Tri Scepter work? In the presentation, we were shown how to shake it in front of a table and Zelda will create a replica of the same object. If we memorize a replica, we can use it at any time, for example, if a wall blocks our path, we will have the option to create replicas of tables to move forward, giving us a variety of options for our adventure. Wooden crates, old beds, and things as unusual as water blocks. We can use these replicas individually or in combination, so memorizing and creating replicas of everything we find in Hyrule is important.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Gameplay

Nintendo offered a video showing the gameplay of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, where you could see much of the Hyrule that we can go through, which also differentiated between main and side quests, we saw the Gerudo Desert, Marshes of Jabul or Farone Swamp.

Creativity to power in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

Combat in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is completely different from the traditional way of fighting, using stones against our enemies, which we can use as replicas, thus using the monsters in our favor, fighting alongside us. The monsters have different abilities, so using the most convenient one will be important depending on the situation.

As the title suggests, wisdom is key in this new installment of The Legend of Zelda, which brings the creativity of the recent 3D entries to the more classic 2D side of the saga. An infinite number of possibilities that we can use to our advantage as we progress through the adventure.
