Will Hugh Jackman Return as Wolverine in the MCU? Marvel talks about the character’s future

The charismatic actor is back in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, but no one knows what will happen tomorrow.

After a long wait, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ was released just a few days ago, but Marvel is insatiable and good proof of this is the huge number of films and series that make up the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). For this reason, the company is already looking to the future and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has commented on the plans he has for Wolverine, one of the most beloved characters among fans.

When we talk about the future and the name Wolverine comes up, the question you’re all thinking about is: will Hugh Jackman play him again? In an interview published by Discussing Film, Feige explained that it is inevitable that the day will come when another actor will step into the shoes - and costume - of Wolverine, although he did not specify when it will be, so it cannot be ruled out that Jackman will play him again at some point.

Feige is very clear that Wolverine has a long life and will continue to exist even “for another 100 years, long after all of us,” so it is a reality that at some point there will be another actor to replace Jackman. Of course, he should avoid imitating him when playing the character, because the head of Marvel Studios believes that it would be “a pretty big mistake” and gives the example of the comics, in which very different versions of the character have appeared.

Of course, he did not comment on a possible candidate, but he did make it clear that he will have to do a “very different and bold” job, as it is very difficult for someone to be “as good” as Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
