Will Palworld come to PS5? Its creators answer in the game’s guide
The first viral game of 2024, Pokemon-Like-With-Guns, continues to break records and its creators already have some plans for the future.
The game known as “Pokemon-like-with-guns” has become the first viral game of 2024, and its creators did not even consider the numbers achieved in their best dreams. Palworld has sold 5 million copies in 3 days and has reached the highest peak of simultaneous players in the history of Steam. Everyone is talking about Pocket Pair survival game and since it is only available on PC and Xbox (included in Game Pass), many Sony users are wondering if it will be released on PS5, something to which the developer itself has responded.
In a Q&A about the game by way of a guide, Pocket Pair assures the following about Palworld on PS5: “We don’t have plans for this at the moment, but will consider it during development!”
The FAQ also talks about the future of the game, which includes crossplay between Xbox and Steam, some kind of PvP (player vs. player) and even expansions and seasons that will be reported “very soon” in a content plan for its year 1.
Palworld also opens up a complex debate about the use of AI for design and the issue of licensing and copyright. We’ll see how The Pokémon Company reacts to the game’s success in the coming days, as many feel it blatantly copied from Game Freak’s creature catalog.
How steep will be the road ahead for Palworld? How long will it take to complete development and leave early access? How long will it maintain its viral game status until its first final release? The truth is that, controversies and sales aside, the game’s reviews on Steam couldn’t be more positive so far.
