Will Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora be exclusive to Ubisoft Connect on PC?

The respective websites and press releases for both games make no mention of Steam or the Epic Games Store for the PC versions.

Ubisoft’s return to Steam recently materialized with the arrival of several titles from the Assassin’s Creed saga and other products from the French company. However, all indications are that two of the most important releases of the company headed by Yves Guillemot will not appear on Valve’s platform or on the Epic Games Store. The PC versions of Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will only appear on Ubisoft Connect.

As noted by a ResetEra user, the websites for both games mention all platforms, but for PC only Ubisoft Connect is listed. For our part, we have checked the press releases received and MeriStation can confirm that Steam and Epic Games Store are not listed. Our colleagues at Spain had contacted Ubisoft to 100% confirm the information and they told us the following:

“At this time, we can only confirm that Star Wars Outlaws will be released on PC via Ubisoft Connect. We will provide more details on where the game will be available for purchase at a later date.

Two next-generation exclusive games

To date, almost all of Ubisoft’s titles have had PS4, Xbox One and PC versions, including some upcoming games such as Assassin’s Creed Mirage. In contrast, both the new Star Wars installment and the work based on James Cameron’s films are exclusive to the more modern systems. Both take place in open worlds, although what has been shown suggests that they will be quite different in terms of gameplay.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be released next December 7th on Xbox 360, Xbox 360 S, PS5 and PC, while Star Wars Outlaws will take us into the criminal world of the galaxy far, far away sometime in 2024.
