Among the many fulfilled dreams that await us in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ there is the classic yellow Wolverine suit from the comics, one of his biggest draws for fans. But long before the debut of the Merc with a Mouth in the MCU, we already had a first look at such a striking outfit of the most famous mutant in the Marvel Multiverse as part of the post-credits scene of ‘The Wolverine’. Now, Hugh Jackman himself regrets not having worn the suit before with a new look at his character in the next Marvel Studios movie.

The most wanted mutant suit for Marvel fans

Thanks to a recent interview by Hugh Jackman with Empire, we know that the actor regrets not having worn such a special outfit of the character before in his many years on the big screen: “We almost did it in The Wolverine,” he revealed. " But from the moment I put it on here, I was like, ‘How did we never do this?’ It looked so right, it felt so right. I was like, ‘That’s him.’ There are different sides of Wolverine we haven’t seen before in the movies. It was exciting for me.”

As fans will remember, Wolverine’s classic suit only had one fleeting appearance in Fox’s previous mutant universe through the post-credits scene of one of its worst-rated films. And the worst thing is that this outfit was never heard of again, since the character’s next film completely changed the story to show us the end of the character with the violent but highly celebrated ‘Logan’.

Be that as it may, in just over two months we will be able to enjoy Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in all his splendor thanks to a version that will equip him with the classic suit practically throughout the entire length of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, in theaters on July 26. And taking advantage of this new interview, Marvel Studios has shared a new snapshot of the actor as Wolverine which you can see above.
