The release window for Hollow Knight: Silksong seems to be narrowing down after a blog entry by Xbox.

The wait has felt endless, and while it’s inching closer day by day—time marches on, after all—the launch of Hollow Knight: Silksong has become a saga worthy of a primetime soap opera. Fan speculation has pushed Team Cherry to speak about the game on occasion, even when they had nothing new to share, simply reassuring fans that “it exists.” Now, a long time later, the official Xbox blog has brought up the game’s release again, offering an approximate window.

As we know, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available on its launch day through Xbox Game Pass. The Xbox blog mentions it in a list of titles arriving throughout the year, which includes Team Cherry’s game.

“Looking ahead, our lineup is incredible with upcoming games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Descenders Next, and FBC: Firebreak to play across the whole Xbox universe… and of course Hollow Knight: Silksong too!”, the blog states.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Announcement Sparks Confusion

Back in January, Nintendo officially unveiled the design of the Nintendo Switch 2, raising expectations further as William Pellen, one of Team Cherry’s leads, hinted for players to stay tuned for the following day, when rumors suggested the new Nintendo console might make an appearance. This led players to believe that Hollow Knight: Silksong might finally be revealed, which ultimately didn’t happen.

As a result, cancellation rumors began to swirl, prompting Matthew Griffin, Team Cherry’s marketing lead, to clarify that the game is indeed real. “Yes, the game is real. It’s making progress and will be released,” Griffin assured.
