Four years later, Hunter x Hunter now has a return date

Hunter x Hunter will return to our lives next November 4th. Yoshihiro Togashi's manga has chosen the date in question to publish what will be its 37th volume. In this one, we will enjoy chapters 381 to 390, which although technically are not new, it is a start, proof that things are starting to turn and get going.

The ten chapters of this volume 37 were once published in Weekly Shonen Jump but were never compiled. Now that the series is about to return to the magazine, its publisher, Shueisha, has given a push to the matter and finished the pending work. This will be the first time anything from Hunter x Hunter has been published since November 26, 2018, when Togashi announced he would take a break.

This volume will be the prelude to the release of completely new chapters. A way to remember where we left off and catch up. Togashi is sharing on his Twitter account all the progress he is making and watch out because hopefully, we could have the return of Freecss to bid farewell to the year (or welcome the next one).

The reason behind the hiatus of Hunter x Hunter

Hunter x Hunter is the manga with the longest hiatus in history. The only series that the publisher Shueisha and the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump have allowed to make such a break (three years and ten months). An exception out of respect for its success and for Yoshihiro Togashi, who had to stop due to serious health problems resulting from stress and pressure.

Togashi once explained his situation, which was tied to an extreme case of lumbago that prevented him from getting out of bed. The mangaka even admitted that there were days when, for him, "happiness is simply being able to go to the toilet or sit on a chair".

Given his age (56) and such tragic cases as Kentaro Miura and Berserk, many were not expecting to see him resume his work. However, he always remained intent on it despite the difficulties. "I know there has come a point where either the story ends, or I leave this world before it happens. I intend it to be the former."

Let's hope that Togashi can complete Hunter x Hunter healthy and as he always dreamed with his new chapters.
