Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to incorporate ranked matches in 2023
The new title developed by Infinity Ward will continue to expand its game modes and will incorporate several new features next year.
Treyarch paves the way for the arrival of Ranked Play in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but players will still have to wait to enjoy it. This was revealed by the studio in a post on Twitter, where it informed that Ranked Play will launch next year 2023. The Activision Blizzard developer will provide more details in the future, although they did mention some of the new features that will be added.
Competitive modes, rank divisions based on player skill, ranking statistics or a Leaderboard with the top 250 players will be implemented alongside ranked games.
Treyarch has announced that they will be removing ranked matches from Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War starting later this month.

Although the game has just been released, the first controversy has already erupted. The reasonable resemblance to a real hotel in Amsterdam has provoked criticism from the manager of the Conservatorium Hotel, who has expressed his discomfort about it. "We don't support games that seem to encourage the use of violence. The game in no way reflects our core values and we regret our apparent and unwanted involvement.," he explained.
