The 2023 WBC is taking shape
As we head toward the quarterfinal stage of the 2023 World Baseball Classic, the heavyweights are marking their territory. Off the bat we’ve got Team USA who is just one win away from the quarterfinals. Should they manage get the ‘W’ against Colombia on Wednesday night, they will advance to the knockout round. In Pool D, Venezuela have already booked their place in the quarterfinal stages, while the winner of Puerto Rico vs. Dominican Republic will be joining them.
On the other side of the bracket, the quarter finals are actually already underway with Cuba having already seen off Australia in a tightly contested 4-3 win. That’s to say, the Cubans will be playing a semifinal in Miami which as you can imagine, is going to be lit.
